Investor Growth Capital
Investor Growth Capital is the wholly owned venture capital arm of Investor AB, a $20 billion publicly traded investment holding company with almost a century of experience financing and developing new healthcare and technology businesses. IGC has achieved notable success in diabetes related investments including MiniMed - a manufacturer of insulin pumps and blood glucose monitors, which was purchased by Medtronic. The company also invested in Amira - a blood glucose monitoring company ultimately acquired by Roche. Other significant healthcare investments include Intuitive Surgical and Kyphon.

Thomas, McNerney & Partners
Specializing in healthcare with $600 million currently under management. The firm has a highly successful investment track record with 52 companies in their portfolio of which 29 have become public companies or been acquired. The firm's investment highlights include AppTec Laboratory Services and Coley Pharmaceuticals.

U.S. Venture Partners
Has invested $1.8 billion in more than 350 companies resulting in over 70 IPOs and numerous, high profile mergers. The company's investments include such well-known entities as Sun Microsystems and Ask Jeeves. Another success was Advanced Cardiovascular Systems, which was later spun off as Guidant Corporation. USVP has also invested in numerous medical device companies that have had positive acquisition outcomes such as Ensure Medical, a cutting edge vascular device manufacturer bought by J&J.

Versant Ventures
Healthcare focused, with over $1 billion in currently committed capital. The company has achieved previous success in the blood glucose monitoring category with an investment in TheraSense - a glucose monitoring company who launched an IPO in 2001 and was later purchased by Abbott Laboratories for $1.2 billion. Versant is also actively involved in the diabetes sector as an investor in Insulet - a manufacturer of insulin pumps that launched an IPO in May of 2007.
